A Sierra Nevada Aventure

After 4th of July, we wanted to take a trip down the "Back Side" of the Sierras on Highway 395. We stopped along the way at Bodie Ca. and then headed down to Death Valley.  Here's a few photos of the journey.

We drove over Sonora Pass which is the second highest highway pass over the Sierra Nevada mountains.  There was still some snow on the pass with running streams and waterfalls.

As we got to the Eastern side, things become much drier.

We stopped in Bishop, Ca. for dinner.

We took a detour over to Bodie Ca. to visit the Ghost town.  There was a good view of the Owens Valley and Mono Lake.

Continuing down 395 gave even more spectacular views.
