Yosemite 2014 Day 3

We traveled to Bridalveil falls. The bottom was more wet and cold than Yosemite falls since it's on the south end of the valley and in the shadow of the sun.

We hiked on the rocks again.  It was cold, wet, and loud, but still fun.

We also hiked to Mirror lake. On the way, we stumbled across a clever rock garden.

Sarah made some contributions.

We've played in the water at this lake in the summer, but spring was a bit too cold for our taste.

Shannon's dad cane with us.

Back at camp.

Yosemite 2014 Day 2

The first evening was REALLY cold.  We were not really well prepared for it. We woke up uncomfortably cold so Matt and the kids sat in the car with the heater running.

Things warmed up around 11AM so we hiked to the base of Yosemite Falls.

Exploring the rocks at the bottom was fun.

Like summer, the park was busy during the day, but not nearly as crowded.

We even got to see some wildlife. Though, no bears. :(

Yosemite 2014 Day 1

We took another trip to Yosemite this year.  This time, we went in the spring to experience the park while the waterfalls were roaring and the air was crisp.

You actually see some snow when driving into the valley this time of year.

We brought a hammock for the kids to swing in.

Emily enjoyed climbing the tree.

Our canvas "Soul Pad" tent was our home for the week.

The first day of camping is mostly about getting set up and ready so the real adventured started the next day.
